Akshaya Bharatiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh staged a protest at North Bengal University on Monday. The protest was held to demand the immediate appointment of a permanent vice chancellor and to fill other vacant administrative posts.
The protest march started from the statue of Panchanan Barma and ended at the administrative building through gate number two. The organization stated that memorandums have already been submitted to the state government and the chancellor regarding this issue.
Vacant Administrative Posts
Important administrative posts including the registrar, finance officer, controller, and college inspector are currently vacant at the university. Protesters demanded the quick filling of these posts to make the administrative system normal.
